Concorde evicts Worms from new office
VAR ousts gaming firm from Ossett facility after outgrowing Leeds HQ
VAR Concorde IT Group has moved into offices previously occupied by the firm behind strategy game series Worms.
Concorde is relocating its head office from Leeds to the 21,000 square-foot office and warehousing facility in Ossett after running out of space to house stock and its growing datacentre kit.
The facility was previously used by gaming firm Team17 Digital, which is moving elsewhere after concluding the online gaming revolution had negated the need for a large warehouse.
HP Gold partner Concorde, which has five other offices and more than 100 staff, will be in by early December.
Erick Mackay, group marketing director at Concorde, said its current HQ – which is four miles north of Ossett and four times smaller – was becoming crammed.
"The warehouse is full all of the time and we were having to take extra space for big roll outs," he said.
"We also wanted to secure more datacentre space as we increase our FlexCloud services, which are based on [NetApp and Cisco] FlexPod technology and are growing substantially for us."
