Alan Sugar blasts "idiot" teenager
17-year old films the Lord insulting teenager after he teases him with his "you're fired" catchphrase
Amshold Group chairman Alan Sugar has branded a schoolboy "an idiot" after he filmed the Lord calling him "a prick" after the 17-year old teased him with his own "you're fired" catchphrase.
The Wrexham schoolboy bumped into Sugar at a bike show at the NEC Arena in Birmingham at the weekend, and said "you're fired!" to him as a joke. Sugar swiftly replied with: "and you're a prick".
Having captured the moment on camera, he is thought to have sold the story to The Sun newspaper, a move which riled Sugar, who took to his Twitter page to vent.
He said: "Things people do for maybe getting £500 @TheSunNewspaper desperate for any rubbish look at this idiot at bike show bit.ly/11vVDfT." (sic).
He added in a separate post: "Leveson should have recommended that Gutter trash like Sun must disclose in articles how much they paid for a story." (sic).
Sugar was keen to spread the video via Twitter after Amshold posted an unedited version of events on YouTube.
The boy told The Sun that he was shocked at Lord Sugar's response.
He said: "It's not right. He's a Lord and I was 16 [at the time] - a Year 12 schoolboy. Also, he has a TV show where he deals all the time with people of my age group.
"I was a bit shocked because I wouldn't expect him to say that in front of bystanders."
