Entanet sees IP VPN sales double
More growth through the channel possible as mobility market expands
Comms provider Entanet has seen its IP VPN sales expand 200 per cent in the past two years, and is rubbing its hands at the prospect of a further increase.
Stephen Barclay, head of sales at Entanet, said in a statement that the prospects are "excellent", particularly for its channel partners, even though IP VPN is not a new technology.
"The market for IP VPN is growing fast, and with typical setups starting at around £30,000 and reaching as much as £2m over three years, the potential to do good business is very real," Barclay claimed.
Partners could add value and therefore do well. Entanet also has its own MPLS network, so customers need only one break-out connection – making things easier to administer and manage, he said.
Barclay added that more businesses are looking to secure their remote connectivity through VPN, and the connection must be secure enough for financial transactions and communication of personal information, in line with payment-card industry guidelines and increasing worker mobility.
