QLogic expands partner programme

Focus is on more advanced datacentre offerings

Storage vendor QLogic is adding an Advanced Solutions Partner tier to its Signature partner programme.

Rob Crawford, senior vice president of worldwide sales at US-based QLogic, said the new tier offers additional resources and support to resellers of its high-performance datacentre connectivity products.

"We are deepening our investment in the channel," Crawford said in a statement.

The new tier goes beyond the Platinum-level accreditation with a view to supporting the vendor's expanding portfolio, which will soon include kit based on shared SSD caching adapter technology. The new offerings promise high margins, according to the vendor.

Resellers working with VDI, enterprise clustering, SSD caching, virtualisation, cloud and data migration may require advanced enablement services, including consultation, it said.

Additional support is also being offered to Gold and Platinum partners, including a new pre-qualified lead processing and distribution initiative.
