Esteem gets on right side of law with infrastructure deal
Managed services specialist wins contract to transform law firm Irwin Mitchell's IT infrastructure
Esteem Systems has bagged a £1.7m deal to transform a top law firm's IT infrastructure.
The deal – set to be completed by May 2013 – will see Esteem carry out a number of tasks including the design and implementation of a new Microsoft Active Directory, a 1,700-user Citrix environment, a secure mobile solution for 600 laptop users and the migration of 2,300 email users to Exchange 2010.
In addition, the managed services specialist will supply a new HP server environment, 1,600 new HP thin clients and 300 new HP notebooks, as well as delivering support and maintenance for the hardware.
Tim Kiel, IT director at Irwin Mitchell, said: "This investment will impact our business in three key ways. It will significantly improve the IT experience of our employees; enable us to deliver an even better service to our clients; and will support our global growth plans. From an IT operational perspective, working with one strategic partner for our IT infrastructure and support will simplify the supplier management process, and deliver substantial cost savings.”
Alastair Kitching, group sales and marketing director at Esteem, added: "By working strategically with Irwin Mitchell we are able to deliver a solution that contributes to their business objectives. We are working with a number of the UK’s leading legal organisations, and providing employees with rapid access to the applications and data they need from anywhere, on any device, is essential for them all in order to drive productivity and business growth.”
