Enta breaks new ground in Telford

Distributor expands warehouse to meet ongoing demand

Distributor Entatech is rounding off a successful 2012 by starting a £1m expansion to its Stafford Park warehouse.

Atherton said in a statement that the new warehouse will have room for 3,000 extra pallets, backed up by "thousands" of new picking bays for new products and suppliers.

"This is not just new warehouse space," he said. "We'll also benefit from a new loading bay, allowing us to receive additional deliveries, while also creating a new goods-in area. On top of this we have also invested in the latest barcode technology and two Flexi Narrow-Aisle G4 forklift trucks. Overall we will be looking to employ 10 new staff."

The decision to expand further was taken earlier this year – the first time the premises has been expanded since 1997.

Entatech had been forced in the interim to use two storage units off-site to cope with growth. According to the distributor, the last two years have seen revenue grow 60 per cent, and daily orders by 50 per cent.

More vendors are on the books than ever, and the company wants to be able to serve them all well and remain flexible to customer and supply chain needs.

"The year 2012 has been fantastic for Entatech, and the finalisation of our new warehouse facility is just one of the many exciting plans we have," Atherton said.

The expansion should be completed in early March.
