OKI expands UK sales ranks
Printer vendor unveils seven new starters and splits sales director role into three
OKI has raided the ranks of rival printer vendors to bolster its UK sales force.
The vendor has taken on seven new starters that have served stints at various competitors including HP, Brother, Canon and Epson.
This includes former HP luminary Tony Smith, who has joined OKI as head of end-user sales, and account managers Charlotte Wall and Ros Nyman.
Meanwhile, Trina Harrington and Melanie Abiodun have joined as direct market reseller (DMR) account managers, while Phil Bushby and Fran Casella have been handed roles as reseller account managers.
OKI sales director Nick Munton departed in June after an 18-month stint at the printer vendor, and his role has effectively been split into three.
Smith will helm the end-user side, while Simon Tetlow and Matt Ruskin have been promoted to head up the channel and DMR businesses, respectively.
OKI, which recently relocated its UK operations from Slough to Egham to cater for its expanding workforce, said the newbies were selected for their specialist print backgrounds and skills.
OKI's UK marketing director, Graham Lowes, said: "We are delighted to welcome into the OKI team such well-regarded and established industry professionals who have the experience and knowledge to continue to drive our print offering forward."
