M2 sees managed services revenue grow

New accounts filing reveals revenue and operating profit increase

M2 Smile – the parent company of Manchester managed print services firm M2 – saw its pre-tax losses widen alongside increased revenue and operating profit for the year that ended in March.

According to online reports, M2 saw turnover rise eight per cent to £31.3m for its 2011-12 year, and operating profits lifted to £2.1m, from £1.8m in the 2010-11 year. This year saw pre-tax losses expand to £1.5m, up from £1.3m, including exceptionals, charges and amortisation.

M2 grew sales, sealing new deals and managing to hang on to its customers.

The subsidiary offers document scanning, document workflow and document management offerings for the print room and the office. It has also developed an interest in business involving evaluation, design, deployment, installation and support of holistic offerings incorporating print for businesses of all sizes.

It focuses on customers in financial services, insurance, support services and legal sectors.
