Nimans AVs it large with Videonations buy
Distributor snaps up video conferencing integrator
Nimans has become the latest distributor to bolster its services skills through acquisition as its parent company, Nycomm Group, snapped up audiovisual and video conferencing integrator Videonations.
Founded in 2001, Videonations boasts offices in London and Altrincham, working with vendors including LifeSize, Polycom, Radvision and Tandberg/Cisco.
It delivers a range of video conferencing equipment, from desktop systems to one-to-one communication, room video conferencing, telepresence and infrastructure solutions for multipoint video conferencing.
Nimans chairman Julian Niman (pictured) said the purchase - which was for an undisclosed sum - would allow the comms distributor to support its resellers in the design, installation, maintenance and support of video conferencing equipment.
"Our market research predicts significant acceleration in video conferencing in the SMB market," Niman said.
"In partnership with our resellers we are particularly effective in that space. It is our intention to capture the same share of the video market that we've had in the communication solutions market for the last 30 years".
