Varlink to on-sell Extricom WLAN kit
Distributor moves into business infrastructure
York distributor Varlink has stepped into the enterprise networking market, signing a deal with WLAN hardware manufacturer Extricom.
The mobile computing and data capture specialist will offer the vendor's business-class WLAN systems to its resellers.
Mike Pullon, chief executive officer of Varlink, said the area is one of the fastest-growing for channel opportunity.
"The addition of wireless network infrastructure products to our range is, we feel, logical. We distribute several thousand wireless enabled mobile computers annually. Our market research shows that Extricom products have features that are beneficial to end users and provide margins that are interesting to system integrators," Pullon said.
Jason Maclean, UK regional sales manager at Extricom, said Varlink was chosen for its ability to add value to a distribution relationship.
"Varlink works closely with its partners to ensure that the products it offers complement each other, which in today's market is crucial," he said.
