Channel players are still shuffling a few chairs as Christmas approaches

Mark Bull, formerly of Equanet and Insight, has joined Lanway as SMB sales manager, dealing with account managers and suppliers.

Distributor Steljes has added two product managers (pictured, right) focusing on Smart interactive technologies for education and business -- Monique Wintle-Camp, who has had three years of experience in the audiovisual market including a stint at AVM as corporate account manager; and David Joshi, who has spent 10 years earning product management experience at companies such as Trackitdown and Chrome Dreams.

Applications for three more technical vacancies -- for an IS developer/MS migrator, a pre-sales technical consultant, anda technical support engineer -- are being taken until 18 January, according to the Steljes website.

At Node4, Andy Chrismas has come early, it seems, taking on a role as cloud sales manager.

According to the datacentre services provider, Chrismas will develop its cloud strategy around services for the SMB and enterprise space, and to enable the reseller channel via its partner programme. Chrismas hails from distributor Magirus, where he was UK North sales manager and enjoyed some four years.

Several IT vacancies were still being advertised on Node4's website at the time of writing.

In other news, Badenoch & Clark's latest talent spotlight on the IT jobs market found that October and November saw high demand for specialists in housing management systems, and smaller firms luring more of the top talents. Permie salaries wre up 3.9 per cent year on year -- however, contractors were being paid less for investment banking roles, and smaller companies were seen to be merging certain IT job descriptions.

As already reported on Channelweb, Kelway chief operating officer Steve Lamey has gone on "gardening leave" just six months after joing the reseller; while Oki has added seven staffers -- Tony Smith, Charlotte Wall, Ros Nyman, Trina Harrington, Melanie Abiodun, Phil Bushby and Fran Casella -- including some from competitors like HP, Brother, Canon and Epson. Simon Tetlow and Matt Ruskin have been promoted to head the channel and DMR businesses, respectively.

Webroot has waved goodbye to sales VP Justin Endres, and Hammer has tempted Eddy Bergiers away from Arrow to become the storage distributor's first director for business in Europe.
