JMC strolls past £10m sales mark in 2012

Manchester reseller posts 38 per cent growth during stellar year

Mancunian VAR JMC IT soared past the £10m sales mark in 2012 after posting a 38 per cent sales hike.

The firm's performance during the first three months of last year was singled out as key to achieving the stellar growth, with the £2.4m revenue recorded during the period breaking a quarterly record set in 2004. The company, which turns 40 this year, also added 11 people to its headcount last year, taking staff numbers to 90.

Andrew Burgess, managing director of the Microsoft and Cisco partner, claimed he had taken particular pride in winning the Best Employer gong at the Salford Business Awards last year. JMC also garnered a three-star rating in the annual Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For survey, and was placed 23rd in the rundown of the best small firms to work for in the UK.

"We are extremely proud to be in such a strong position as we end what has been an incredible year for the business and our staff," said Burgess. "We hope to continue this strong growth trajectory in the year ahead with new hires already in the pipeline for early 2013."
