Micro-P raises £25,934 for Naomi House children's hospice
Directors of distributor scale heights by bike on the Isle of Wight
A team of 10 Micro-P directors has raised £25,934 for Naomi House children's hospice by cycling 65 miles around the Isle of Wight.
The funds were presented to the hospice in cheque form just before Christmas. Starbuck said in a statement: "We were delighted to receive such a fantastic amount of money just before Christmas, particularly as this is such a special time for the children, and the families who come and stay at the hospice. We would like to say a huge thank you."
The distributor has raised funds to help Naomi House since 2009 and this year the figure brought its donation total to £47,000. Micro-P also sponsored the hospice's Christmas bauble hunt in 2011 and 2012.
The whole team completed the ride around the hilly Isle of Wight, even though some directors did not have their own bicycles to ride until a few weeks before the event, the distributor said.
Key vendors Acer, APC, Fujitsu, Lenovo, Plantronics, Samsung and Toshiba as well as staff had been especially generous sponsors, according to Micro-P.
