Phoenix flying high after FY2012 results
VAR hails fifth year of consecutive double-digit growth and plans further expansion
Phoenix Software is on an aggressive growth drive after seeing an impressive rise in sales and profits for its financial year 2012.
The firm posted turnover of £84m for the year ended 13 October 2012, representing sales growth of 13.6 per cent and operating profit growth of 28 per cent.
Phoenix also grew headcount from 117 to 123 over the year and has hinted it is on a recruitment drive for the coming year.
John Forsyth, managing director of Phoenix Software, said: "While this outcome in itself represents a very strong performance, it is worth noting that, thanks to our customers, this is the fifth consecutive year Phoenix has delivered double-digit growth.
"We are delighted with the strong demand for our SAM and IT services offerings, and the growing international channel for our own software product, License Dashboard.
"Our new business pipeline for 2013 looks potentially as exciting, if not more so, than that which we achieved in 2012.
"Our business plan for the next 12 months is ambitious, but we believe that the combination of strong customer demand across all our traditional sectors, combined with our track record and experience, will allow Phoenix to continue delivering sustainable growth."
The VAR has seen a number of new contract wins recently, with one of the biggest being a place on the Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC) to supply software and services. The deal is worth a potential £60m a year in sales.
