Imago introduces UbiCast to UK video streaming

Presentation and education systems now on offer after distribution deal

Video communications distributor Imago Group has added lecture capture and online training systems from France-based UbiCast.

According to Imago, UbiCast products have not previously been available in the UK.

Peter Nice (pictured), head of new business at Imago, said its user-friendliness will seal deals in the corporate market.

"Research suggests that human resources applications are those that are most often initially implemented following installation of a system. For the education market we have introduced a specific product line for first-time users, which combines an easily integrated, quality solution at an entry-level cost," he added.

A special education starter system was being offered to kick off reseller opportunities, he added.

Ubicast's EasyCast range spans rich-media creation, editing, sharing, and analytics on automated capture appliances and a web TV portal for streaming and storing content. Common applications include corporate training and communications and e-learning, as well as general presentations.

Tanguy Yu, chief executive of UbiCast, said Imago was chosen for its experience in niche reseller communities as well as its international focus.
