K3 Retail sews up Savile Row tailor's charity plans
VAR enables Gieves & Hawkes to adopt Pennies electronic charity box system
Retail specialist K3 Retail has helped Savile Row tailor Gieves & Hawkes adopt an electronic donation system to increase its charitable contributions.
The VAR has helped the well-known tailor adopt the Pennies electronic charity box system to enable easy digital charitable donations in store.
To enable contributions in shops, K3 had to go through a rigorous process, gaining PCI:DSS accreditation and bridging the gap between its EFT payments hardware and the LS retail PoS it built on the Microsoft Dymanics NAV ERP platform – thus enabling the integration of Pennies.
As a result, the retailer is able to use the digital micro-donations system, which discretely displays an option for the consumer to provide a small donation on the PIN pad at the point of purchase.
Mark Henderson, chairman of Gieves & Hawkes, said: "K3 Retail kindly completed this project as a gesture of goodwill and we are thrilled with the results. The Pennies system is something that Gieves & Hawkes has wanted in place for some time now and K3 has made it possible.
"Now the system is up and running, we can raise funds for a variety [of good causes] including QEST, a charity close to my own heart."
John Little, sales director at K3 Retail, added: “The multichannel environment is challenging at the best of times and even more so when it comes to implementing new and innovation solutions. This project demonstrates the benefits that come from working with an experienced service provider such as K3, who can provide the necessary support when required.”
