Kelway-owned BSS wins £1.2m printer contract

Belfast-based reseller to provide a variety of printing products to Northern Irish finance department

Kelway-owned VAR Business and Scientific Solutions (BSS) has won a £1.2m contract to supply Northern Ireland's Department of Finance and Personnel.

The Belfast-based arm of Kelway, which was acquired by the reseller last April, will supply and install a range of printers and plotters to the department, as well as providing support for the products.

Just one other company competed against BSS for the contract, which was notified of its successful bid this week. The deal will run initially for a one-year term, with the option to extend by four further 12-month periods.

BSS was one of a series of acquisitions made by Kelway in recent years, which included ISC Computers, Panacea and Repton.

Dan Laws, Kelway's managing director said that the contract win was "significant".

He said: "We are delighted that our continued investment in Ireland has again been vindicated with this significant success.

"We continue to aggressively grow our international capability to support the requirements of our clients and feel enthused by their willingness to work with Kelway globally."
