Corero completes top management shake-up

Former chief exec becomes president but will work in tandem with replacement to further growth plans

Security vendor Corero has completed a top management reshuffle which sees former product boss Ashley Stephenson take over the reins as chief executive from Marty Meyer, who will become president.

The pair claim they will work "in tandem" to run the company and accelerate its worldwide growth plans.

Stephenson has assumed the top role in less than a year, after joining the firm in March 2011 as its vice president of product management and strategy.

Meyer has led the company since August 2011 after the firm received investment from four channel stalwarts ahead of its buyout of intrusion prevention vendor Top Layer.

Datatec founder Jens Montanana took a majority share in the firm alongside channel faces Andrew Miller and Stephen Turner, who still hold executive roles at the vendor.

Ex-Fortinet executive Andre Stewart, who was part of the 2011 investment and held the role of international president, left Corero last September.

Miller, who took on the role of group chief operating officer at Corero in 2011, said Stephenson's appointment, along with investments in the business, will "drive forward Corero's sales-led growth strategy [and] have positioned the business well for the future."
