Varlink welcomes new year with addition of vendor trio

WLAN firm Extricom, ruggedised phone outfit Seals and MDM player SOTI all added to distie's kitbag so far this year

Distributor Varlink has made a flying start to the year by adding a trio of new vendors to its product portfolio.

During 2013's opening four weeks the York-based distie has signed agreements with Seals, SOTI and Extricom. Varlink will be selling the TS3 and VR7 "ultra-rugged" smartphone models from Seals. With prices starting at £239, the phones can reportedly be dropped onto concrete from a height of two metres.

SOTI manufactures the MobiControl mobile device management platform, while the Extricom partnership marks the distributor's first foray into the wireless LAN arena.

Varlink chief executive Mike Pullon said: "The additions to our product range follow extensive market research into the emerging needs of our expanding customer base."
