Dodwell-Bennett departs distributor Steljes

Long-serving sales and marketing head decides on different path

Sales and marketing director Martine Dodwell-Bennett has left Steljes after eight years at the distributor.

A release from Steljes' PR department said Dodwell-Bennett (pictured) had met with the board to discuss the company's future, and had decided to move on – suggesting that the distributor's long-term plans did not align with hers.

"Having discussed the plans for Steljes with the board, I have decided 2013 is time for a change for me and so it is time to move on," she said.

However, both Steljes and Dodwell-Bennett have declined to comment further on the reason for Dodwell-Bennett leaving, or her plans.

According to the distributor, the group's chief executive, Martin Large, will now assume responsibility for its channel, working with the sales and marketing management team.

Natalie Harris is the current head of marketing, and business development is headed by Wayne Perkins.

Dodwell-Bennett was hired by Steljes in 2005. She has worked in training and in product management, becoming sales and marketing director four years ago. Before Steljes, she worked in senior roles at another education-focused channel company, RM.
