Yorkshire reseller XI-ted about new office

Printing and audiovisual specialist trumpets further expansion

Yorkshire reseller and developer XI Technologies has cut the ribbon on its headquarters in Moorgate, Rotherham.

The three-year-old company, which supplies printers, consumables and audiovisual kit from vendors including Apple, Oki, Epson, Smart and Casio, focuses on the education and corporate markets. It also develops its own offerings.

According to the Rotherham investment Development Office (RiDO), the company's growth is in part down to its support and mentoring, as well as a portion of its £842,000 funding from the European Union.

Julia Millea, business development co-ordinator at RiDO, said seeing such rapid growth was "really satisfying".

"XI Technologies has a fantastic product range and it was fantastic to be able to support the company as it looks into opportunities for growth overseas," she added.

Mike Slattery, managing director of XI Technologies, said: "It is great to have our own premises and to have the facilities and premises to be able to expand even further into the education and corporate markets. We have been able to take on new staff."

The new 3,000 sq ft premises would be the base for expansion across the UK and even further afield, he added.
