RGB signs Inno deal for blinged-up wall mounts
Mounts for Apple mobile gadgets incorporate Swarovski crystals - but there are commercial applications
Technical audiovisual specialist RGB Communications has signed a distribution deal with Germany's Inno International, covering the UK and Ireland.
The deal will allow RGB to sell Inno's "luxury" in-wall mountings for Apple iPads and iPods, some of which are adorned with Swarovski crystals. Gordon Innocent, chairman of RGB, said he believed such products could sell to businesses as well as consumers.
"We saw a gap in both the high-end residential and commercial markets for the in-wall systems, which have been designed from an interior design perspective using the highest-quality materials, including precious woods, gold leaf, precious stones and the highest-quality carbon fibres and coatings," Innocent said.
Inno approached the distributor in January at the Integrated Systems Europe audiovisual show in Amsterdam, he said, where staff had been impressed with the mounts' design.
"There was huge interest in the Magic series with a Swarovski crystal finish (pictured), which turns the surface of the bezel into a sparkling sea of glittering reflections," Innocent enthused.
Inno is a start-up predicated on the idea that consumers are demanding "ever more prestigious" home entertainment and environmental control systems, RGB's statement suggests.
"Similarly, there is a demand for use with control systems across the commercial market, wherever there is a requirement to deploy solutions that create an outstanding corporate impression," the distributor said in its related announcement.
