Fast-growing MobileIron goes two-tier in UK
MDM vendor enlists Exclusive Networks to develop UK partner network
Mobile enterprise management (MEM) vendor MobileIron has moved to a two-tier channel model in the UK, enlisting Exclusive Networks as its first local distributor.
Having been active in the UK since mid-2010, the California-based vendor has brought on Exclusive to "engage, educate, enable and energise" resellers on this side of the pond. The pan-European VAD has also secured contracts for France and Spain.
Analyst IDC reckons the MEM market in which MobileIron plays was worth $444.6m (£293.8m) in 2011 and will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 31.8 per cent to reach $1.8bn by 2016.
MobileIron, alongside peers including AirWatch, Good Technology, Fiberlink and Zenprise, enjoyed triple-digit growth in 2011, IDC said.
The company itself – which plays across the mobile device management (MDM), mobile application management (MAM) and mobile content management (MCM) arenas – claims to now be gaining more than 700 enterprise customers per quarter.
Alistair Mutch, UK and Ireland director of MobileIron, said: "To continue our success in the UK and to reach the next level of our development we need a partner that can grow and evolve with us. Exclusive Networks UK has the expertise and the infrastructure to help us reach and to serve new reseller partners who can deliver on the phenomenal demand for our products."
Exclusive Networks marketing director Barrie Desmond added: "MobileIron directly addresses the rapidly evolving mobile business environment at a time when organisations are developing their strategies to reduce data loss, device loss, and employee misuse, whether the device is corporate owned or employee owned."
