MobileIron and Logicalis leap into bed

Vendor and integrator form partnership for BYOD glory

Logicalis has rounded out its bring-your-own device (BYOD) strategy by forging a partnership with mobile device management (MDM) vendor MobileIron.

The integrator will slot MobileIron into its portfolio alongside networking kit from Cisco and its own integration and consultancy services to bring the benefits of BYOD and COD [corporate-owned devices] to its customers.

The agreement comes on the heels of MobileIron's move to a two-tier channel model in the UK as it appointed Exclusive Networks as its first distributor.

Logicalis managing director Mark Starkey said MobileIron had been at the heart of the BYOD trend "from the very beginning" and would gel perfectly with its mobility offering.

"This, coupled with its integration with Cisco, and the integration and service skills at Logicalis, ensures we are equipped with all the elements to support customers in delivering real business benefits, as they look to embrace mobility for business," he said.

"Logicalis is one of a new breed of systems integrator that realises the true value of integrating system security and mobile device integrity to enable increased productivity. By working with both Cisco and MobileIron, Logicalis can deliver an end-to-end mobility solution to its customers. We look forward to working together."
