Telecoms firms win place on lucrative framework
Daisy, Britannic, Gamma, Social Telecoms, Updata Infrastructure and Convergeone bag slot on framework worth up to £40m
A handful of telecoms firms including Daisy, Britannic and Gamma have won a place on a multimillion-pound framework to supply a variety of social housing providers through the Procurement for Housing (PfH) initiative.
PfH aims to drive efficiency in procurement practice for more than 800 social housing providers in the UK, and has established the framework which could generate business worth between £12m and £40m for the providers.
Daisy, Social Telecoms, Updata Infrastructure, Convergeone, Britannic Technologies and Gamma Network Solutions have all been named as preferred framework suppliers, according to a recently published contract award notice.
The group will supply PfH with a variety of telecoms services including the supply of equipment, networks, helpdesk support and mobile phones.
The award criteria judged the companies mainly on the total cost of the specific lots, as well as technical capability and quality.
Gamma's marketing director Richard Bligh said he was excited about the framework and was confident the firm could bring some exciting solutions to the sector.
Britannic Technologies said in a statement that its experience in the sector will help housing associations save money and better serve their customers.
Convergeone added that it can provide the highest quality of service to PfH members and claimed it was confident its experience and technology will serve the company well.
Marcus Doling, commercial accounts director at Updata, said: "We are very much looking forward to working with PfH to deliver real innovation to the sector focused on driving down costs and enabling housing associations to deliver an exceptional customer experience."
