UK distribution duo boosts ZTE's enterprise push

Chinese vendor expands presence with addition of TXO Distribution and Net Lynk Group to incumbent Touchline Video

Comms and video vendor ZTE has expanded its UK footprint with the addition of two new distributors in the shape of TXO Distribution and Net Lynk Group.

TXO will be taking stock of the Chinese vendor's switches, routers, wireless LAN and DWDM products and supplying enterprise VARs and operators. Net Lynk will be selling ZTE's DSL CPE and SIP telephony wares primarily in the ISP space. The duo joins Touchline Video in the manufacturer's UK distribution stable.

Xu Ming, director of ZTE's Europe enterprise network department, said: "ZTE has chosen to work with a small number of selected distributors who are not competing with one another. They target different markets, and offer different elements of our product portfolio. This non-competitive strategy will result in an alliance of partners that complement each other and that will help us to grow the ZTE Enterprise business in the UK."

The Shenzhen-headquartered firm burst into the European market last year and has signed up more than 20 VAR and VAD partners to date in territories including France, Germany, Turkey, Poland, the UK and the Scandinavian countries. Its background lies in the telecoms infrastructure and handset space and its mobile devices have been sold across Europe for the past two years. Its aim now is to bolster its enterprise business throughout the world.
