Tahex picks channel veteran to drive sales
Andrew Cross joins HP Gold partner
HP Gold partner Tahex has enlisted channel veteran Andrew Cross to helm its sales efforts.
Cross joins the Reading-based VAR following a 12-month spell at channel recruitment agency CRS and has also served stints at resellers Sol-Tec, Metrologie and Evesham Technology over a 25-year career.
Managing director Derek Taylor, who formed Tahex in 2003, claimed his firm grew revenue by 30 per cent in 2012 and is looking to break into the ranks of the UK's top 100 resellers.
"[Andrew's] track record of creating go-to-market strategies, working with HP and experience in acquiring new business revenue by working alongside the industry's largest vendors will bolster our ability to win new customers," said Taylor.
Working with vendors including HP, Microsoft, Cisco, Juniper and APC, Tahex specialises in the supply of server, storage and network solutions.
The firm is launching two new technical services: Tahex ServiceDesk, which will provide monitoring and management, and Tahex Adhoc, which will provide technical services for specific problem resolution through pre-purchase of support tickets.
"These two additions build on our reputation of offering high-quality pre and post-sale technical services," said Taylor.
