Chiltern aims to double turnover with top management rejig
Spare parts distributor appoints new commercial director and creates purchasing role to accommodate future growth
Spare parts distributor Chiltern IT is undergoing a top management reshuffle in a bid to help double its turnover within three years.
The Buckinghamshire-based firm is promoting its IT director Sunil Bouri, who has been at the company for about eight years, to the role of commercial director.
Chiltern veteran Tim Reading, who began working at the distributor 30 years ago, will continue in his role as operations director, but will focus solely on warehouse and logistics and no longer on purchasing – a role which will be fulfilled by a new dedicated member of staff.
The procurement manager, who is yet to be recruited, will head up purchasing and will bring a new skill set to the firm, according to its managing director Price.
Price said the top-flight restructure will help accommodate its planned growth.
"With any restructure, you are always apprehensive how it will be taken, but the positive way in which Tim and Sunil have reacted is very refreshing and bodes well for the future growth of Chiltern IT," he added.
"I feel the realignment of responsibilities allows us to give the appropriate focus to the business goals of doubling the turnover in three years."
Reading said: "Chiltern is in my veins and it has been great to see the success continue. We needed to make this change so the company can continue this trend."
