Motorola gets good signals from Azlan in wireless partnership

New distribution agreement covers Europe, Africa and Israel

Motorola Solutions has inked a distribution deal with Azlan covering Europe, Africa and Israel.

The Tech Data-owned distie will be taking stock of the US vendor's full range of wireless wares, including AirDefense security kit, MESH networking products and the TEAM voice-over-WLAN offering. Azlan has been charged with growing Motorola's wireless market footprint across Europe and Africa.

Marco Landi, channel vice president for Europe, Israel and Africa at Motorola Solutions, said: "We are delighted to partner with one of the leading technology distributors, Azlan, to deliver our wireless network solutions product lines to specialist networking resellers across EMEA. Motorola Solutions has chosen to work with Azlan because of its strong heritage in this market and its recognised position as a leading networking distributor."

Motorola sales will be led by the distributor's International Business Team (IBT). Formed in 2009, the IBT is based in York but is supported by virtual teams covering numerous countries across Europe and the Americas.

Steve Cant, enterprise infrastructure and comms director at Azlan, added: "Motorola Solutions offers a truly innovative approach to wireless networking that reflects its strong background in this technology and is backed by a strong channel partner programme. As wireless is widely projected to continue to be a growth market, we are pleased to work in partnership with Motorola Solutions."
