Paul Bryan takes reins at Micro P

Distributor unveils new boss after promoting Gerry O'Keeffe to group MD role

Distributor Micro P has kicked off its fiscal 2014 by appointing a new managing director in the form of Paul Bryan.

Bryan, who has been sales director at the broadliner since 2005, fills the gap left by Gerry O'Keeffe following his promotion to the role of group managing director.

The distributor claims it broke the £1bn turnover mark for its fiscal year that just ended.

Commercial director Phil Brown, retail director Mike Buley, purchasing director Mark Kahr and mobile director Simon Woodman will all now report to Bryan, who has been in the industry for 22 years.

Bryan (pictured) will still report into O'Keeffe, who in his new role will also head the MDs of Sharptext in Ireland, Go Connect in Benelux, Advent Data in Leeds and Arc Telecom in the Middle East.

O'Keeffe said: "Micro P Group has enjoyed spectacular growth over recent years and we have very clear plans to continue this growth curve, both organically within Micro P and via acquisition. Paul's appointment is a key step in creating the structures that will support further growth."
