Ingram polishes latest Cisco accreditation

Distributor achieves Cisco collaboration accolade as it pushes further into UCC space

Ingram has made another addition to its vendor trophy cabinet in the form of a Cisco Collaboration Accreditation.

The distribution giant claims the accreditation will help drive revenue growth powered by Ingram's Advanced Solutions Division, which focuses on growing VARs' business in technology areas such as datacentre and networking infrastructure, unified communications, enterprise software and cloud service provision.

Jon Bunyard, director of the Advanced Solutions UK Division at Ingram, said: "Not only does this accreditation recognise the investment and commitment we have made in training and educating our Cisco team, it also reinforces in our customers the confidence that when buying Cisco solutions from us they are dealing with a qualified distributor.

"Ingram Micro's presence in the UCC market is gaining momentum day by day. This latest accreditation combined with the investments we have made into building our team and resources together with the ecosystem of vendors we are developing sends a clear message that Ingram Micro is extremely committed to the UCC space."

Bunyard explained the distributor had also gained a similar accreditation in datacentre infrastructure.

"This allows us to stand out as a solution-oriented and services-focused distributor with dedicated staff who are qualified to sell the full server range to an increasingly broad customer base," he said.

Philip Wright, senior director at Cisco, said: "The distribution accreditation will drive a consistent standard of knowledge and expertise throughout Cisco's channel to market. This ensures that the end customer has access to our solutions through a qualified source. We are pleased that Ingram Micro UK has achieved the Cisco Collaboration Accreditation and has shown long-term commitment to growing its business with us."
