Scottish Government feels the love for Amor Group

Services player bigs up smaller players as it seals three year deal to manage government's ICT infrastructure

Amor Group has won a three year contract to act as the technical supplier for the Scottish Government.

Under the deal, which was for an undisclosed sum and has two optional 12-month extensions, Amor will work with the government's Information Services and Information Systems (ISIS) division.

ISIS provides a common platform known as SCOTS, which supports over 10,000 users over 150 sites across the region, using more than 10,000 devices including laptops, desktops and mobile devices.

Amor will deliver the SCOTS Connect range of managed services, which will help public servants in Scotland access shared services and collaborate across the network.

Jimmy Lumsden, public services senior business unit director at Amor, said: "This is a significant contract for Amor Group's Public Services sector. We are pleased to be supporting the Scottish Government on such a significant aspect of its IT infrastructure.

"This contract adds to our already solid foundations for future growth across the Scottish public sector and will also be beneficial to us as we aim to expand our public sector activities across the whole of the UK in 2013 and beyond.
