Altodigital concludes double Fusion buy in Bristol
Print reseller makes sister Fusion companies 22nd and 23rd acquisitions
Print and documentation specialist Altodigital has completed the acquisition of two Bristol-based resellers – Fusion Business Systems and its sister Fusion Business Services – for an undisclosed sum.
According to Altodigital, the regional expansion will benefit all three companies and customers as well.
Dave Gibson, managing director of Altodigital, indicated that they will cross-sell products and services to each others' customer bases.
"Fusion has an excellent reputation in the market, and this acquisition is an important strategic step for us to grow our presence in the South West region. With the already-established Bristol team and the new additions from Fusion – all of whom are staying with us – I am confident we will continue to grow and offer customers greater choice," Gibson said in a statement.
The news follows another acquisition in March – and the 23rd since Altodigital's formation in 1975. It has 300 staff across seven UK locations, including its head office in London. Hardware partners include Kyocera, HP, Ricoh, Lexmark, Sharp and Canon.
Fusion was begun in 2001. Howard Eagland, managing director of Fusion, said the authorised Sharp and Samsung dealer specialises in the sale and support of a range of office hardware and related offerings. It has a particular focus on document management and scanning.
"This acquisition offers huge potential for the Fusion businesses to continue to grow and develop as part of a much larger group," he said.
