Bullish CloudSense eyes growth with Impactive acquisition

Cloud firm claims takeover will continue its 'dramatic' growth momentum

Cloud integrator CloudSense is looking to bolster its presence in the UK and Europe following its acquisition of IT consultancy Impactive.

The newly acquired firm focuses on the financial services and telecoms markets and was acquired for an undisclosed sum by the Salesforce Platinum partner.

The London-headquartered cloud firm claims to have boosted its sales dramatically in the past 12 months, and hopes its takeover of Impactive will further propel its growth.

Impactive, which is based in Oxfordshire, will operate under the CloudSense brand as a wholly owned subsidiary but will remain as a legal entity post-acquisition.

The firm's existing customers will be transferred to CloudSense and will join its existing base, which includes 02, the BBC, News International, Johnston Press and Vodafone.

The firm's chief executive Richard Britton said Impactive is set to drive its business forward.

"We have experienced rapid growth since we started the company in terms of revenue and people and are pleased to bring Impactive on board to help continue that momentum. Both companies share a common vision of how we can help our clients put customers at the heart of their business," he added.

"From the very beginning our focus has always been on having the best talent and Impactive has the high-calibre individuals who will help develop our business and deliver transformation through the cloud for our customers."

Earlier this year, Cloudsense joined a range of other resellers on the Sunday Times' Best Companies rankings, appearing 55th on the list, slightly behind fellow VAR Trustmarque.
