e92plus keen to filter new business
Distributor issues war cry to data breaches by signing partnership with 3M to supply its range of privacy filters
Specialist distributor e92plus is diversifying its product line through its partnership with 3M.
The vendor's Privacy Filter range is a different type of product to e92plus' usual offering, but the distributor claims it provides a unique complement to its portfolio.
3M's privacy filters feature patented micro-louvre technology that blocks the view of a screen to everyone but the user sitting directly in front of it. They are designed to fit any LCD monitor, laptop or smartphone/tablet.
According to e92plus, the filters can become part of a compliance strategy, such as conforming to the ISO27001 Information Security Management System Standard.
Mukesh Gupta, managing director of e92plus, said: “The distribution agreement with 3M is an excellent complement to our existing product range. The opportunity for resellers is for a simple up-sell on solutions from end-point security to traditional laptop or mobile device projects, and can be a key part of compliance strategies for end users. The potential of the market is enormous, and is a great way for partners to increase their order values and margins.”
Nick Barnes, regional sales and marketing manager at 3M's speciality display and projection division, said: “This is a great new opportunity and we are looking forward to working with the experienced e92plus team to help us reach new customers in the growing security market.”
He added: "Our mutually beneficial distribution agreement will help in advancing and educating the IT security markets about the current issues associated with visual privacy and the benefits of introducing a simple solution such as a privacy filter. E92plus will provide us with a targeted and proactive distribution route to the IT security market to promote the variety of security solutions available, in line with our visual privacy security proposition. They understand our products and are taking them to the right people at the right time."
