Touchline Video bought by Imago after 12 years
VAD billed as Europe's largest video communications firm expands further
Video comms specialist Imago Group has bought rival audiovisual and videoconferencing distributor Touchline Video for an undisclosed amount.
Touchline – incorporated in 2001 and until 2008 known as Review Video – has in-house expertise in the UC and collaborative technology areas as well, including experience in design, implementation and support.
According to Imago's announcement, core sales, management, and marketing staff will now work for Imago, out of Thatcham, Berkshire.
The company has not yet confirmed whether or not other jobs will be lost.
Ian Vickerage (pictured), managing director of Imago Group, said Touchline has offered first-class video comms through the channel.
"Touchline Video is a company with much credibility in our industry," he said. "The integration of Touchline's team into the Imago operation will bring additional knowledge, contacts and sales experience."
He highlighted its videoconferencing expertise and regular executive briefings that have attracted both conferencing industry leaders and channel partners.
Reading-based Touchline was owned and headed by managing director Barry Cross and a trade-only distributor of kit and services from the likes of Dr. Highscope, easymeeting.net, Life Stream, Radvision, Wolfvision and ZTE.
Imago, a private, UK-based firm, also operates in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, China, South Africa and Spain.
