VIP offers special specs that help computer users

Glare, dry eye, tiredness and other screen-use conditions come into focus

VIP Computers has signed up to distribute special glasses from Gunnar Optiks that are aimed at reducing the visual problems typically exacerbated by computer use.

According to the distributor, any computer user can wear these glasses to improve clarity of the visual image at intermediate focal distances as well as alleviate the visual discomfort all too common with extensive screen use – such as eye fatigue, glare, and dry eye.

Duncan McAuley, purchasing director at VIP Computers, said the deal so far is exclusive to VIP.

"We are delighted to be working with a growing company that focuses on cutting-edge technology as well as the wellbeing of the modern technology user," he said in a PR statement.

Bjorn Jonsson, vice president of international sales at Gunnar Optiks, said the US company was looking for more partners to help promote its blue-light-reducing specs, and has recently added distributors in France, Mexico, Cambodia and the Philippines as well.
