TDAzlan tempts partners with cloud billing tool
StreamOne platform will allow resellers to enter cloud game with minimal effort, distributor claims
Computer 2000's enterprise arm, TDAzlan, is arming its partners with a billing tool designed to allow them to enter the cloud market with ease.
The distributor has launched StreamOne, a partner aggregation and billing platform that will enable them to offer cloud services from the likes of Rackspace, Microsoft and EMC under a single bill.
To coincide with StreamOne's debut, TDAzlan has launched a portfolio of cloud services it claims spans all the areas customers are looking to adopt right away, such as backup, infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), video and mobile office productivity.
Although additional services will be added in the coming month, the first five are:
• IaaS from Rackspace
• Hosted Microsoft Office 365 from LuxCloud
• Mozy by EMC cloud-based backup service
• Hosted video services via Videxio
• White-label IaaS from AirVM
Resellers can use StreamOne to manage all monthly charges and subscriptions, enabling them to offer a complete cloud proposition with minimal investment, the distributor said.
Joel Chimoindes, European cloud services director at Azlan, said the platform's availability was a prerequisite to it launching the five cloud services mentioned above.
"Without StreamOne, resellers would have to develop their own way of monitoring the usage of every single service by every single customer. StreamOne enables them to manage and automate the whole process," he said.
"It makes it much easier to enter the market, to build quotations, monitor usage and subscriptions and, crucially, provide a single bill, based on that customer's consumption of cloud services at the end of the month."
Although 150 resellers have already engaged with Azlan's TD Cloud discovery programme, the distributor said the latest launches will allow them to "move to the next stage" and start generating revenue from the cloud.
