Reseller Ultima refreshes Citrix infrastructure for Scania dealers

Berkshire infrastructure VAR Ultima Business Solutions has performed a refresh of the Citrix farm for the UK dealer network of Swedish vehicle manufacturer Scania.

John Armstrong, project manager at Ultima, said the company wanted to boost the performance of its Citrix XenApp and Microsoft-based IT infrastructure, particularly to its 1,200 UK users.

"Ultima's consultants developed a solution that has cut log-in times to less than half, as well as dynamically optimising applications," Armstrong said in a PR statement.

The refresh included implementation of a user virtualisation platform made by AppSense, which helps integrate the Citrix and Microsoft environments, Armstrong said, and covers Scania dealers in the UK as well as franchisees.
