Jon Bunyard leaves Ingram Micro as management reshuffles

Value business chief moving on as part of wider revamp

Ingram Micro's director of UK value business Jon Bunyard has left the distributor as part of a top-management reshuffle.

Bunyard joined the distributor via its 2009 acquisition of Computacenter's distribution arm CCD, which he began working for way back in 1987.

He held his most recent role since October 2011, after leading the distie's HP Enterprise, Servers, Storage and Networking division for two years. He declined to comment when contacted by CRN.

However, Ingram's executive managing director UK and Ireland, Brent McCarty, confirmed that Bunyard is leaving after the recent creation of its Advanced Solutions Division (ASD) prompted a management reshuffle.

McCarty revealed that ASD will be headed up by senior sales director Julian Thompson alongside his existing role.

"We are moving forward quickly with regards to these initiatives in the UK and prior to formalising this new division, have had some great success already," McCarty said.

"As a result if these changes Jon Bunyard has left Ingram. Jon did a great job for us, helping to lead and integrate the CCD acquisition we did in 2009. He's a strong executive and we wish him the very best in his future endeavors."

Bunyard began his CCD career in credit and finance roles, and worked his way up to become commercial director in 2001 - a role he held for seven years ahead of becoming the firm's general manager.
