Jigsaw24 pieces together Nottingham University deal
Reseller to supply institute with Apple hardware as part of £6m, four-year deal
Reseller Jigsaw24 has won £1.5m of business supplying the University of Nottingham (UoN) with a range of Apple hardware.
The university invited suppliers to tender for £6m worth of products, and in a recently published contract award notice, diclosed that Jigsaw24 won the first chunk of business totalling £1.5m, excluding VAT. The contract is expected to span a four-year period.
The Nottingham-based reseller fought off three other competitors for the business, and will supply the institute with kit including PCs, tablets, portable computers and parts, accessories and supplies.
In the contract award notice, it claimed UoN was also looking to deliver an improved level of service and quality to end users, increase efficiency in its ordering process and reduce the environmental impact of any equipment purchased under the agreement.
Jigsaw24 was chosen after it met the university's criteria, which was mostly based on value for money and the sevice level, with sustainability and order and delivery also being taken into consideration.
