Concorde hits warp speed with WatchGuard
UK VAR shifts more red boxes than any other EMEA Expert partner over six-month period
Concorde IT Group has hailed WatchGuard's increased focus on the channel after outselling all other EMEA partners over the past six months.
The Leeds-based VAR, which broke the £10m turnover barrier in its most recently reported financial year, has traditionally sold an equal number of "red" and "blue" boxes from WatchGuard and rival SonicWall respectively.
But Concorde admits its WatchGuard business has moved ahead since SonicWall was acquired by Dell last year.
The VAR has been crowned "Highest Revenue Expert Partner EMEA" after shifting close to 500 of WatchGuard's XTM appliances over six-months, including close to 400 on one large deal with an NHS trust.
Concorde beat off competition from 200 other WatchGuard Expert partners across the region, including Misco, 365iT and Sec-1 in the UK.
Concorde's group sales director Matthew Wood said: "Concorde is committed to working with all its strategic vendors, but in WatchGuard's case they have really embraced our business and are working on several strategic initiatives with my sales team.
"Historically we have always sold very similar amounts of WatchGuard and SonicWall, but it is no surprise to me that given the focus and commitment we have seen from WatchGuard recently that this has translated into increased sales."
