UKFast assembles M&A squad
New team to pore over books of potential acquisition targets
Cloud and hosting provider UKFast is assembling a team of experts to help it assess potential acquisition targets as it hits the M&A trail for the first time.
Despite boasting a turnover of £20m, UKFast has yet to make any acquisitions having struggled to find any rival hosting firms where "the mix is just right".
The new crack team, which will be made up of experts with a background in private equity and corporate finance, will focus solely on due diligence and getting to know business owners, said chief executive Lawrence Jones.
Jones said: "Our M&A team will be dedicated to this task, to getting to know the management teams and delving into the businesses so we know exactly what we are buying and not just the information that the business itself presents."
Jones added: "I am looking for companies that stand out because of their great management teams - who our new mergers and acquisitions guys can get to know - the husband and wife teams, the family firms and the budding entrepreneurs."
