Intrinsic appoints Rachael Nevins as CFO

Former Ultralase and Skills for Justice exec brought in to replace Carl Plucknett

Intrinsic has brought in experienced finance professional Rachael Nevins as its new chief financial officer as it continues its quest to become a £100m company.

Nevins arrives with a CV boasting senior finance and commercial roles at a diverse range of employers including Ultralase, Skills for Justice, ITW Rocol and Cytec. She replaces former CFO Carl Plucknett, who departed to be nearer to his family, according to Intrinsic.

"Intrinsic has been very successful over the past several years, and the business still has a wealth of potential," she said. "I am relishing the task of helping the company achieve more growth in the coming years and expanding its revenue streams."

Intrinsic has stated a number of times that its goal is to grow from its current size of about £40m sales to become a £100m organisation, with growth to be achieved through both organic and acquisitive means. Chief executive Adam Jarvis claimed that the appointment of Nevins is another key development in achieving its ambitious aims.

"All the pieces of the puzzle are in place now," he added. "It might be a tough economy, but we have designs on not only hitting aggressive revenue targets but we are actively investing in extending our services portfolio and developing bespoke systems to add value to our customer relationships."
