IntY hunts partners for Cascade cloud platform
Cloud buying group aims to increase its VAR base by half in the next three months after cementing ties with 80 vendor partners
Cloud aggregator IntY is looking to raise the number of resellers using its Cascade platform by 50 per cent to 300 in the next three months.
Launched last March, Cascade now allows VARs to bundle cloud services for customers from 80 vendors under a single service-level agreement with just one bill. The firm, which operates entirely through resellers, claims it allows those with less buying power to cash in on cloud.
As part of its ambitious growth plans, IntY is targeting a further 100 VARs in the UK, which it wants to be actively selling its offering by September.
IntY's managing director Chris Baldock said the small and mid-size market is ripe for selling cloud.
"The early adopter phase is over, and for cloud to get significant traction in the SMB market, the trusted adviser or small partner is essential," he claimed.
"The negative is that... [SMB resellers] can see cloud as a threat and they put barriers up to contain their customer base. But the beauty of cloud for small partners is that they traditionally sell to small customers – but now, they can sell to bigger ones. [With the cloud] they are not prohibited by the size of their own company... their financials or the number of engineers they have – they can deliver stuff for larger organisations and the opportunity here is significant.
"Many partners are letting sleeping dogs lie [when it comes to cloud] but the problem with that is, dogs run off when they wake up. When cloud was a black art and no one had heard of it, that was OK, [but not now]."
IntY currently offers cloud services from vendors such as Symantec, Cisco and Microsoft and claims to be recruiting more every week.
The firm has a global presence and aims to expand across Europe, North America and the Middle East in the coming months "as fast as possible".
