Logicalis gets to first base with Juniper
Integrator and vendor forge relationship around security
Logicalis is forging ties with Juniper Networks for the first time but will initially focus exclusively on the vendor's security wares.
The integrator, which is one of Cisco's largest partners worldwide, has bagged Elite partner status on Juniper's Advance Security wares.
This is the highest level within Juniper's Partner Advantage programme.
Talking to CRN, Logicalis UK managing director Mark Starkey said the integrator has a "slowly developing relationship" with Juniper but stressed the alliance will initially be around security only.
"They have a very strong portfolio in security," he said.
"If we have done Juniper in the past, we've done it without the official badges and now we are making it more official. We were not even a registered partner so have had to go through the stages to get on first base."
The Advanced Security badge incorporates firewall, virtual private networks and intrusion prevention, as well as policy and access control product authorisations.
Darryl Brick, director, partners UKI, at Juniper Networks, said in a statement: "Juniper's go-to-market strategy relies on the quality and expertise of its partners, so the evolution of our relationship with Logicalis is fundamental to our sales activity in the UK."
