Azlan signs up Rackspace as part of cloud push

Customers to benefit from increased flexibility and scalability, claims duo

Azlan has signed up cloud firm Rackspace in an effort to bolster its cloud offering to VARs.

As of today, Tech Data-owned Azlan will offer its cloud VARs Rackspace's IaaS products through its cloud programme, and will manage monthly fees and subscriptions though its parent firm's billing platform, StreamOne.

The duo claims the agreement means resellers can provide their customers with extra flexibility and scalability, which will open up new revenue streams for their businesses.

Joel Chimoindes, European cloud services director at Azlan, said the new partnership forms a crucial part in its cloud proposition.

"Resellers will now be able to offer a wide range of industry-leading hosted services with complete confidence, extending their own potential and enabling customers to take advantage of the instant deployment capabilities and dynamic flexibility that Rackspace offers... Its solutions form a crucial part of our new cloud services proposition," he said.

Richard Brown, Rackspace's business development manager for international sales, said effective cloud channel partners are fundamental to the firm's vision for cloud delivery.
