e92plus picks archiving ally

VAD inks partnership with Cryoserver

Security VAD e92plus has added email archiving brand Cryoserver to its line card.

Cryoserver, which is a brand of London-based vendor FCS, comes in appliance, virtual appliance, software-only and cloud-based forms, or can be delivered as a hybrid solution.

The signing is designed partly to fill a void left by Barracuda Networks, which parted ways with e92plus in December as part of a distribution shake-up.

e92plus has already signed up Unitrends as a replacement to Barracuda's backup products but Cryoserver completes the jigsaw, said e92plus marketing manager Neil Langridge.

"We do a good amount of email security but did not have that archiving piece," he added.

"Cryoserver is a small and fast-growing UK company, similar to Unitrends. And like Unitrends, it's not a point product in that you can have it as hardware, software or a virtual appliance and partners can also deliver it as a cloud service or white-label it as a managed service."

Robin Bingeman, director of FCS, said: "Cryoserver is entirely reliant on our channel as a route to market, and capitalising on e92plus's impressive track record within the UK security space is a natural step for our business. This partnership with e92plus is central to our UK channel development and we look forward to working with e92plus to build on the success that Cryoserver is already enjoying."
