Intrinsic helps housing association get connected

VAR overhauls ICT system for South Lakes Housing including new LAN, WAN and telephony system

Intrinsic Technology has overhauled the complete ICT system of housing association South Lakes Housing (SLH) after it relocated to new premises.

The work carried out by Intrinsic, which included the installation of a new LAN, WAN and telephony infrastructure, will give SLH complete ICT independence from South Lakeland District Council.

Underpinning the infrastructure based on Cisco and Avaya technology will be Intrinsic's managed services offering Fusion, which will monitor the new infrastructure, ensuring the system works 24/7.

Adam Jarvic, chief executive of Intrinsic Technology, said: "This project illustrated the efficiencies that can be achieved when an entire infrastructure is designed holistically. We have a wealth of experience partnering with registered providers, so we were well placed to advise and implement a cutting-edge system tailored to SLH's needs."

Lindsay Simons, director of finance at SLH, added: “The relocation of our headquarters provided us with the perfect platform to overhaul and transform our ICT, and Intrinsic has been the ideal partner to see us through that process.

“We have seen improvements both internally and in terms of tenant experience. The ongoing support from Intrinsic has provided an extra layer of security, so we can get on with serving our tenants with the knowledge that our ICT systems will be running smoothly.”
