Ian Cook to step down as Logicalis CEO
Integrator on hunt for new boss as Cook prepares to move into chairman role
Ian Cook is to step down as Logicalis chief executive in the latest top management shuffle at the global integrator.
Cook will relinquish the role at the end of Logicalis' financial year next February but will stay with the firm, replacing Jens Montanana as chairman.
Logicalis, which is owned by IT group Datatec, said it has retained a global executive recruiting firm to help in its hunt for its next CEO.
After joining Logicalis in 2003 as its European boss, Cook assumed the chief executive post in 2007, during which time the integrator's revenues have more than doubled to over £1bn.
Datatec chief executive Montanana said: "Ian has done an outstanding job in leading the organisation and has transformed the business model, creating a significant international brand providing similar solutions and services in more than 20 countries.
"The company and its stakeholders are grateful for his considerable contribution to the organisation and we welcome Ian's continued involvement as chairman of Logicalis and are confident that it is well positioned for continued success."
News of Cook's executive retirement comes hot on the heels of UK managing director Tom Kelly's departure. He was replaced by Mark Starkey at the beginning of the year.
The Cisco and IBM partner, which acquired fallen rival 2e2's mainland European operations in March, saw revenues rise by nine per cent to $1.35bn in its fiscal 2012. EBITDA powered up 17 per cent to $78.6m.
